The Portland Reading Council is committed to promoting literacy in our communities.
The $300 Community Engagement Project Grant is available to current members.
Eligible projects must have an impact that extends beyond the school walls.
Funded projects have included:
• Creating a lending library for children at a local apartment complex
• Contributing books for a local Middle Eastern Heritage Festival
• Adding multicultural books to Little Free Libraries in Portland’s Montavilla neighborhood
